It’s hard to believe the transformation taking place on Deal High Street, it seems the “pound shop regime” is over and Deal is attracting a new wave of retailers. The newest addition at 54 High Street is Poppy Belle.
What was once a rather dreary unwelcoming pound shop has now been given an extreme makeover of beautiful pastel colours and bright décor. You’d be hard pressed to find anything of the previous incarnation.
The brainchild of a local couple that were fed up with having to drive to Canterbury and beyond to find suitable clothes for their growing children, Poppy Belle brings a fresh feel to the High Street.
With brands such as French Connection, Levis, Petit Bateau, Lilly + Sid, Frugi and more, and aimed at children from just a few months to 14 years, there is something for everyone at Poppy Belle, boy or girl!
Debbie Morrison the shop’s manager has relocated from Newcastle down to sunny Deal to run the shop and says business is going very well from their opening on 1st October.
It’s not hard to see why either, with brightly coloured shelving and display units, clothes laid out neatly and welcoming staff, this is just what Deal High Street needed. With the new influx of major High Street names appearing things are on the up!
The Accommodation Shop had several enquires for the new lease to this shop and where delighted when it finally went to a local couple who wanted to bring a fresh feel to children’s clothing in Deal.
We are seeing more people looking at running their own business and as such we have had many enquiries from people locally looking for suitable retail and commercial premises.
